Neo classical era of English literature.

# Condition of the women during the neo classical era difference between 18th century women of England and contemporary time :

As a student of the literature and member of this society one should be aware of the difference history and contemporary time. It's a point of women development that is increasing day by day and women are having the spark to make change.

During the neo classical era of England there were women who were interested only in artificiality, (that they were spending their time only in beautifying their selves, were learning more and more manners which were not that much meaningful).

That now we can compare classical age with today's time
That now we are aware about the condition of the women that they all are trying to improve themselves for better future.

2. My favorite poet of the neo classical era is Alexander Pope because he was the best satirist of his time. That neo classical era was the age of artificiality and he sarcastically wrote about it exactly.

3. There were some women poets of the neo classical era like, Mary Wollastonecraft, Eliza Haywood, and Jane Barker.

Aristotle's Poetics and Plato's Objection towards towards Poetry

       # Fist assignment on Aristotle's Poetics and Plato's objection towards poetry :

1.Ans -
Plato was the great philosopher of Greece and disciple of Socrates, a great philosopher of Athens who had invested his whole life in the invention of truth. When the thing is about the objection which plato raised on poetry.Plato was not critic by profession but in his book "Republic" we can read his objections on poetry.

I also believe that some pieces of poetry can harm intellectuality and can drive human beings in a wrong manner but here in the objection of Plato I am not agee, because Plato said that poetry is the mother of lies and creates rational fools but when someone is writing poetry or reading the poetry it requires sharp brain.
Three main objections of Plato for poetry are:
              1.Ethical,
              2. Philosophical,
     And 3. Pragmatic

In his ethical objection of poetry Plato said that poetry promotes undesirable passion, in the objection of philosophy, poetry provides false knowledge and it has no educational value.
In my opinion Plato is quite wrong here, that nothing is original in this world and nothing is imitation of another thing! That if we can sing the song which is written...can we call it the imitation of lyrics?

4. Answer -
I have studied Hamlet and Othello during BA program in which both protagonist characters are Hamlet and Othello. They both follow Aristotle's literary tradition of tragedy, that they both have taken wrong decisions which lead them towards the end of their lives that catharsis can apply in the state of reader.

2. Answer -
I have studied the tragedy by Shakespeare, "Romeo and Juliet" in that particular tragedy Protagonist Romeo killed Juliet's cousin unwillingly and ran away from the town one misunderstanding of Juliet's death leads Romeo towards the death. To kill one person that creates hamartia in the play and also makes readers to purgatory process.

3. Answer
Yes, I have studied a text which did not follow Aristotle's literary tradition.
It is the play "Waiting for Godot"
There is nothing like protagonist character and any mistake by them which can lead the play towards unhappy end because it is an Absurd play by Absurdist writer Samuel Backet.

                                    Thank you 😊

My understanding about Aristotle's Poetics

 1).
My understanding about Aristotle's Poetics :-

We all are aware about Plato's "Republic" and his objections to poetry, Aristotle written "poetics" to reply his master in a humiliate way.
I also believe that if someone will write only about his/her experiences and emotions in his/her creative work then it will be a personal diary of a particular person not the masterpiece of literature.
As T.S.Eliot had given his point of view that poet should escape from his own emotions.
- Aristotle said that tragedy is superior than epic poem and argued in favour of that statement but I don't agree with the same statment in my opinion every genre of literature has its unique existence not one is superior or on is inferior.

According to Aristotle, we must represent men either as better than in real life or as worse,or as they are.
